Can Latvala win? If anywhere, it must be at home and once more he achieved that. Although he again lost PS win to Ogier and was little late on getting to lead, he then did not give it away. Both VW's ran without hitch so battle was on for most of the rally. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Mads Ostberg

At Citroen, the story was the usual. Meeke was faster, usually only seconds from the battling VW's, but fell out with an off in second day. Ostberg did not find speed but was consistent, eventually getting to podium. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Thierry Neuville

Neuville crashed in shakedown and team had to the rebuild car before start. During the rally he nor team mate Sordo were fast but Paddon in latest spec car continued to impress. Unfortunately, Paddon went off and with other retirements, Neuville finished 4th. Click picture to see larger version in a pop-up window
Ott Tanak

Both M-Sport Ford drivers were on good pace early on but both lost minute in incidents in first day. Evans broke rear suspension and had to make improvised repairs while Tanak, who in the end finished higher, drove several stages with broken damper.
