Latvala was full of confidence after extensive pre-event testing and dominated the rally despite third day scare when he hit pot hole, broke front brake caliper and was almost caught by Ogier.

Latvala's third day trouble left Ogier just 3,4 seconds behind. Final day was short and battle between the two was extreme - though Latvala won the rally, Ogier managed to score powerstage win.

Behind superior Volkswagens, Meeke was third for most of the rally - eventually finishing third. After his accident in previous year, this result was proof not only of speed but also reliability.
