Tanak's sudden problems on rally ending Power Stage elevated Dani Sordo to surprise win, only his second in a long and illustrious WRC career. His rally was almost problem free and his pace had been fast, so win was well justified.
M-Sport's Teemu Suninen scored his career best finish with second overall. Having switched co-drivers, he was co-driven by experienced Jarmo Lehtinen and is seen here going around the stones in SS5 which caught out Ogier.
For the second rally in row, Toyota's great finish is spoiled in Power Stage. This time it was Tanak, who had bided his time on first leg with bad road position, then pushed through second day to take lead and maintain it during final day. Only to suffer steering failure and dropped fifth.
Citroen's star Ogier was first on the road on first day and pushed hard despite disadvantageous position. So hard that he clipped rock and retired. His team-mate Lappi (pictured) didn't fare much better as he went wide on SS4, punctured and lost minutes.
