Loeb lead after first spectator stage but from the stage two Hirvonen took over, went ahead and scored his first win at home.

Three Citroens lost their respective battles with three Fords. Sebastien Ogier was last of these but was very fast, especially bearing in mind that it was only his second start in Finland.

Both Ford (l: G. Quinn) and Citroen (r: O. Quesnel) announced their commitment to WRC for 2010 and 2011. Teams received shared Spirit of Rally award for that. Hmm?
