The Official Yearbook 2005
decoration
It says so on the cover, "2005 Official Yearbook". If official quality is anything to go by, WRC has reached its lowest point of the past decade. Softcover, adverts of various sizes sprinkled here and there, content full of spelling mistakes. Max Moseley, anyone? Or Peugoet. Oh my...

The only good part is that superb McKlein photography is used. But even so, instead of large and striking photos, pictures are small and cluttered. But plentiful. At any rate, my advise is to keep away from this book.

Season Past - Season Future

Martin Holmes writes about various points concerning the 2005 season as well as casting a glimpse to the future as well. He considers the Loeb-phenomena, Citroen's road of reversals, Ford's tight budget and various rule changes for 2006.

Know Your Current World Champions

Introducing champions Loeb (Drivers'), Sordo (Juniors) and Arai (Production). Despite being short ones, each detail their backgrounds.

The Drivers and the Teams

Driver identity cards very similar to these in Rally Yearbook, as are team introductions located later.

Round by Round Review

Neil Perkins reviews all WRC rounds.

The Global Show

Official book must carry official propaganda. Article has it's interesting points relating to the mechanics of the TV coverage - but really, who wants to read promoters promoting themselves?

TV Technical

As if article on mechanics of TV production isn't enough of self-promotion, this article is about technical side, gadgets and distribution stuff. More appropriate in ISC sales material.

Collected WRC 2005 Statistics

JWRC, PWRC and WRC statistics, three each. Besides championship standings, support categories have SS wins and sprinter stats. WRC has drivers' and manufacturers' championship standings plus drivers with most wins.
