In many ways, Group B supercars are like dragons. Mythical, powerful, firebreathing beasts that only selected few can control and which at times turn on to their master.
Interestingly, Group B lasted only couple years and peak of that era was even shorter. More interestingly, there were only three real supercars. Even story writers would find it difficult to spin a decent story out of such a feeble material but reality can be stranger than fiction. Group B is perhaps the most tempting of all the phenomenons of the World Rally Championship ever.
Perhaps that scarcity of substance explains the amount of myths and sense of wonder that surrounds Group B. In this section you can find more about this wonderful and at the same time horrible piece of history. Hopefully it deepens rather than dispels that awe though there are some points where history should be set right.
