Hirvonen took lead on second stage and was quite fast but since Loeb was faster, team orders were eventually imposed and Mikko had to settle for second place.

Latvala won qualifying and in a surprise move he chose to run 13th on the road. Initially he was quite fast but got stuck in a wire fence and lost time.
