Loeb's only challenge came from Ford lead driver until Latvala went off on icy conditions. Over wintry conditions, Loeb went safely and sped up again on drier sections.

Mini took part with reduced force, Sordo being their only top driver. He battled with Solberg for second place and eventually claimed it with nice margin.

Petter Solberg was once again with works team and went very well. Following Latvala's retirement, he had to consider finishing safely so third overall was excellent result for him.
