Ogier sought to secure his first Corsican win and his championship title at the same time. He shot into lead in Day 1, managed it for next two days and despite claiming the win, Mikkelsen's third place meant title wasn't secure yet.
Neuville held second for most of the rally despite pressure from Mikkelsen. Thierry's engineer proposed set-up changes that propelled him to a new speed and made sure of the second place.
Breen finished higher of the two Citroens but this was due to Meeke's off in second day. Breen had only one start here so with limited experience the result was good.
Camilli was fastest Ford but since both Ostberg and DMack-shod Tanak haven't been fast on tarmac, that was not a big surprise. Overall, Fords were painfully slow.
