SS1 was held in Thursday evening at Buenos Aires, some 700 kilometers away from rally headquarters. On the way back, bad weather prevented landing of one of the airplanes carrying drivers back to Cordoba which in turn led to problems with event timetable for following morning.
Initially half of the morning stages were cancelled but later all except stadium stage were cancelled, causing widespread distress for fans.
