More information about car classifications.

When new Appendix J was introduced in 1982, old cars were eligible for a transition period of one year. That is why both old and new Appendix J co-existed for 1982 season.

^*FISA car classifications were not widely used in North America and that is why there are three events where group of winner's car is not known.
