Mikkelsen inherited the win after Tanak's puncture. But even before that he had been able to keep Paddon at bay and maintain pressure on Tanak.
Tanak dominated the rally from stage 8 until almost to the finish but slow puncture on penultimate stage cost him 40 seconds - and his first rally win. Until then, both his and DMack tyres' performance had been astonishing.
Paddon rounded out the podium of young drivers despite losing most of his advantage over team-mate Neuville in closing stages and hence, almost his position as well.
Citroen made a rare appearance and this time only with Craig Breen (pictured) and Stephane Lefebvre. Latter scored his first stage win and both finished in top-10.
