Jan Kopecky

Narrative mixed with Jan's own words tells story of young Czech driver from early days to rise to WRC with Skoda and down and out again after Skoda halted WRC programme.

This is Their Life

Story of Petter Solberg's private team, title of this article being adaptation of team's slogan "This is my life!". After Subaru ceased their WRC activities, Petter was left with various choices but retirement and driving for a B-team were soon ruled out, leaving the path of privateering the one to choose. Besides the story of two seasons, on separate sidebar team manager Ken Rees describes team's international composition.

Second Time Round

Historic rallying on Ford Escorts prepared by company involving Phil Mills. Not the clearest of articles, it hops between interest in historic rallying, technical aspects and events and competitors without really settling to anything. Article answers the question "what is Phil Mills doing now".

The New World Rally Cars

The most interesting article on the book is FIA's technical chief Jacques Berger going through the new World Rally Car rules by answering eight questions.

Non-Stop to Bulgaria

As WRC arrived to Bulgaria for the first time in 2010, author reminds us that international rallies have visited that country before. Admittedly, it was half a decade ago and as a very different sport (long distance endurance rallying).

Pirelli's Experiment

Time to let book's title sponsor have a word but make no mistake, it's not an advert but a genuine article. Various topics are handled from tyre design to Pirelli Star Driver series.

The Future of Damping

Final article is interestingly placed amongst technical developments section. This one-page article is about dampers and their development at Tein suspension company.
