On tarmac, championship leader did not get penalized on first day so Tanak had good position on the road. Despite this advantage, his lead was under constant pressure from Neuville until puncture dropped his rival down and Toyota was handed a comfortable triple win.
Neuville started well and fought hard with Tanak but on first run of long Panzerplatter stage he got puncture and dropped from the contention. Team-mate Sordo suffered with gearbox problems on first day but made phenomenal comeback on second day, only to hand out a position to Neuville in the end.

M-Sport was hard hit as Evans' injured back prevented him from starting and Suninen was halted on SS2 by mechanical gremlins. Suninen posted good times on second and third day but was well down the order, leaving Evans' replacement Greensmith (pictured) to be team's best points scorer.
