Tanak inherited lead from Paddon after his off and unlike all other rally leaders before him, Ott was able to keep that lead until the end. That despite car being filled with dust from hole in the chassis.
Latvala lost some time in Ostberg's dust in SS12 and without that he might have overtaken Tanak. All Toyota squad drove well, Lappi scored his first stage wins and finished fourth, while Hanninen lost fifth overall in final stages of the rally.
Neuville was best Hyundai at the finish, whereas team-mate Paddon led until he clipped a bank on second day and retiring. Sordo lost time with engine problem and was left to bring up the rear.
Citroen's awful results dragged on. Meeke was leading when he went off in SS5 and damaged roll cage prevented him from continuing. Breen retired with gearbox oil leak so new recruit Mikkelsen (pictured) was left to finish best of the team - despite running carefully while learning the car.
