With 124 pages dedicated to just one car, there is room to spend to the subject matter. Therefore it is not a surprise that story begins from somewhat far away, road mapping how Stratos initially was just a radical concept car. Progressing through politics and rival cars focus then moves to technical and engineering details of the Stratos. Power plant of the car is discussed in some length, both in technical terms as well as of the initial difficulties related to getting permission to use it.
Over next pages other technical features and design issues are thoroughly covered and then focus moves to development, homologation process and works car manufacture. Then follows short pieces of several famous Stratos drivers. Because this is a book about the car, it's understandable that these are kept short. But instead of having them so short, it might have been worth considering to leave those out altogether.
Next 50 pages or so are about the short competition career of the Stratos. In these pages text is quite often found only on captions for the numerous pictures. Wealth of pictures is by all means a good thing - though some hardly justify their inclusion. Final pages explain why Stratos' career was so short and delve into various odds and ends, like British dealer Chequered Flag's national campaign et cetera.
