Jukka is son of well known Finnish co-driver Atso Aho. Even though father tried to persuade his son not try rallying, Jukka could not be kept out of a rally car. Initially he tried driving but after couple of rallies he decided that it was not for him.
Switch to co-driving followed and Jukka has co-driven with some of the leading finnish rally drivers, including Sebastian Lindholm (Marcus Gronholm's cousin) and rising young stars Kristian Sohlberg and Janne Tuohino.
Late 2002 Jukka succeeded Risto Laine as rally sports chief at AKK-Motorsport, finnish national motorsport association. He was not new to sports governance, previously Jukka had been employed by successful basketball team Honka and he has earned BBA and BA-degrees. Position at AKK has not prevented Jukka from having occasional outings in rallies.
