Hyundai's part time driver Lappi had good road position from the start but still was only fourth until both Tanak and Rovanpera went off. After that he edged closer to leading Katsuta, taking lead on long SS7. After Katsuta went off early on Saturday morning, Lappi's lead was secure and he backed off to make sure to finish and score second win of his career.

Evans had 360 degree spin at full speed on SS3 but unlike others, he didn't beach it and finished day third overall. For the next two days he tried to catch Fourmaux and move to second overall, succeeding in that at morning of final day. Curiously, he outscored winner Lappi thanks to his charge on Sunday and in Power Stage.

Fourmaux had a close encounter with Tanak on SS4, passing his stricken car at high speed on a very narrow place. He gained places as first Tanak and Rovanpera went off into snowbank and later Katsuta did the same. Even though Evans overtook him in final day, Fourmaux scored his first podium.
