Toyota had high hopes for their home event but all three main team drivers punctured - Ogier in Friday, Rovanpera in Saturday and Evans in Sunday. This left Katsuta (pictured) as best placed Toyota, he was immensely happy to finish on podium at his home event even though he too had puncture on penultimate stage.

M-Sport was present with minimum line-up, fielding just Breen (with whom they parted ways after the rally) and Greensmith (pictured).
